Lazy Eye Games
Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 18, 2026
This policy explains what information Lazy Eye Games handles when you use the app or website, what stays on your device, what limited analytics may be collected, and how use by children is treated.
Key Points
- Gameplay progress, calibration settings, and similar training data are intended to remain stored locally on your device unless you choose to share them.
- The app is meant to be purchased and managed by adults, and children should use it only under adult supervision.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through gameplay, and we do not sell minors' data to third parties.
- We may use limited analytics to understand app performance and feature usage, but not for targeted advertising across other apps or services.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Lazy Eye Games mobile app, related website pages, and support communications. It describes how we handle information that is stored locally on your device, sent to service providers, or provided directly to us when you contact us.
2. Adults, Parents, and Children's Privacy
Lazy Eye Games is designed to be purchased, configured, and managed by adults. Children may use the app for supervised vision-training play, but only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian and, where appropriate, a qualified clinician.
We do not knowingly ask children to provide direct personal information through gameplay. If you believe a child has sent us personal information without proper parental involvement, contact us at info@lazyeyegames.com and we will review and delete it where appropriate. This section is intended to support compliance with children's privacy laws such as COPPA, where applicable.
3. Data Stored on Your Device
Gameplay progress, scores, preferences, calibration choices, and similar training-related information are intended to be stored locally on your own device. We do not intentionally sync or store that personal progress data on our own servers as part of normal app use.
Because this information stays on the device, the adult who controls the device also controls that data and can usually remove it by clearing app data, uninstalling the app, or using the device's built-in storage tools.
4. Limited Analytics and Diagnostics
To understand feature usage, session patterns, crashes, and overall app quality, we may use a third-party analytics provider such as Mixpanel. These analytics are intended to focus on aggregate or device-level usage information such as feature engagement, session duration, general device type, or app stability.
We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers, contact lists, precise location data, or advertising identifiers through gameplay analytics, and we do not use analytics for cross-app targeted advertising. Analytics providers may still receive limited technical metadata necessary to process events and keep their services running.
5. Subscription and App Store Information
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple App Store, Google Play, or another platform provider. Their privacy policies and billing terms apply to the payment information you provide directly to them. We do not receive your full payment card number or your store account password.
We may rely on platform-provided purchase status information to determine whether premium features should be available on your device.
6. Support Communications
If you email us or otherwise contact us for support, we may use the information you provide, such as your name, email address, device details, and message contents, to respond to you, troubleshoot issues, protect the service, and keep a record of the request.
7. How Minors' Gameplay Data Is Handled
When a minor uses the app, gameplay information such as scores, progress, settings, and calibration choices is intended to remain on the local device under the control of the parent or guardian, or to appear only in limited, non-directly identifying analytics events used to understand app usage at a broad level.
We do not sell minors' gameplay data, do not knowingly build advertising profiles about children, and do not use children's gameplay data for targeted advertising.
8. Sharing, Selling, and Advertising
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or minors' gameplay data to third parties. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the app or website, such as analytics, hosting, support, or platform providers, but only for legitimate business or operational purposes and subject to their own contractual or legal obligations.
We do not use gameplay data for cross-context behavioral advertising and do not knowingly share children's data for advertising purposes.
9. Retention, Security, and Your Choices
Locally stored app data remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app. Support emails and similar communications may be kept for as long as reasonably necessary to answer your request, resolve disputes, detect abuse, or comply with legal obligations. Analytics data may be retained according to the relevant provider's standard retention settings.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information we control, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You may limit data sharing by not contacting support, adjusting available device permissions, or discontinuing use of the app.
10. Changes to This Policy and Contact Us
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when this version was last revised. By continuing to use Lazy Eye Games after changes take effect, you acknowledge the updated policy.
